About Mike
While working at Walt Disney Feature Animation, Mike participated in the studio's Artist Development Program, where he learned figure drawing, painting, and sculpture from world-renowned teachers. He later continued his classical training at The Florence Academy of Art, deepening his understanding of observational drawing and traditional methods.
For more than 30 years he has taught figure drawing to students of all levels, helping them move from stiff, mechanical results toward drawings that feel alive, confident, and full of energy. His teaching combines the precision of classical training with the dynamic principles he absorbed during his years at Disney.
He currently lives and works in Florence, Italy.
